Endings and Beginnings

It’s been a couple of weeks since my last post because of the whirlwind of things going on:  Our house is sold, all of our belongings are in storage, we’re living out of suitcases, and they’re burning down our old house of 16 years (July 9, for fire department training).  While I’m excited about this next chapter, I’m overwhelmed by the Good-byes and the closing of this current chapter.  Grief and joy, anxiety and excitement is the tension I’m living in at the moment, but under it all is the peace of God’s sustaining grace.  Through all of this, God’s hand has been evident.  We know this is what we’re supposed to do, but, for the record, it’s still hard.  🙂

Now, our attention shifts to sharing our story with some of the churches on our home district (Northwest).  We’re really excited for the opportunity to reconnect with some old friends, and to connect with new ones.  This week, we’re with the Richland church, with Pendleton next week.

Thank you for your prayers and support!
