Living in the Tension

This is a great week!  School is finishing up, temperatures are warming up, and the excitement of a new chapter in life is beginning.  This is a tough week!  Saying “Goodbye” to friends and co-workers, re-homing our dog, and the packing/moving process are all weighing on me emotionally.  While I don’t feel like this is anything like what the Apostle Paul experienced, I am still comforted by God’s words to him: “My grace is sufficient for you.”  This didn’t take away Paul’s “thorn in the flesh,” but it shifted his focus.  Basically, God is saying, “Instead of focusing on the ‘thorn,’ focus on Me.”  I still feel like an emotional wreck, but I am comforted that God’s grace will sustain me in the moment, and in the moments yet to come.  I would really appreciate your prayers for not just Aimee and I, but also for our kids who are still processing what this all means for them.
